Success happens at any age when you remove fear from the equation.

Hanalei Swan started her conscious clothing company when she was just 8-years old. (Yes, that’s right, 8 years old!)
For Hanalei, it all started when her mom asked her, “What do you want to be now?” (instead of what does she want to be when she grows up). In that question, she realized the power of now, and as she says, “age has no boundaries”.
When you remove the fear of the unknown and fear of self-imposed limitations, anything is possible. Add in a healthy dose of being surrounded by a supportive creative environment and you can help but succeed.
The critics are going to say, “She would be nowhere without her supportive parents (Brian and Rhonda) .” Yes, that’s partially correct, which is why I believe it is so important to cultivate and grow your own support network if you don’t already have one.
Your network, or TRIBE, is your community that loves and supports your dreams goals and aspirations. They build you up, rather than take you down! In our case (Tina’s and mine), our tribe is our Shin Dao Family, fellow Shindaoists.
I (Neil) am also an active member of numerous supportive communities. One such community is run by my fellow co-host for UPLIFT – Uplifting Conversations That Set Your Soul On Fire, Jamie Adamchuk. You can catch Jamie and me on the Insiders Elite FB Group multiple times a day!
Okay, back to the statement above, where I said it was only partially correct about Hanalei’s success. If Hanalei, at the most basic level, didn’t follow something she loved to do, she would not have the success in fashion design that she currently does. Hanalei was the one that took the interest in Fashion, in drawing. Not her parents.
So while her parents contributed to her success, it was Hanalei’s determination to do what she loves that ignited her success.
Consider the questions, “What do YOU want to be NOW?” and “Waht do you love to do?” and see where these questions take you.
